For those who think that CO2 is going to be the death of the planet earth

Climatard:
Joe...it's the most CO2 in the atmosphere we've ever seen in the 30 years we've been tracking it. Follow the history of the data!

HippyJoe:
But the earth is 4.6 billion years old...

I think they’ve proven beyond doubt the ppl will swallow any bucket of shit they’re fed..
because I guy in suit behind a desk says so..

noone claims its the end of the planet... just of human civilization

@MoonMoon Since you didn't articulate it it is pretty hard to understand. I'm not a mind reader.

@MoonMoon I am ready able and willing to read any of the words you use to describe Temperature, Weather and Climate. I am not going to read what wiki has to say. I want your words not someone else. I am discussing this with you. Your turn.

Not going to be the death of planet Earth of course, its merely an indicator. Like most things that are VERY complicated, climate change can't be narrowed down to one item, and an extrapolation made on that one narrow focus.

@Pherick Sorry but NASA is government run and is thus compromised. Do try to do better.

@hippyjoe1955 LOL dear lord.

Take care man, please get the help you need.

@Pherick You might as well ask the CDC about the effectiveness of the covid jabs as to ask NASA about the weather/climate/temperature. They lie to serve their political masters. It keeps their funding flowing.

Very interesting – thank you! 🌷
Put this in context for me
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Ozymandiaz Not really. If the CO2 levels were close to 6000 ppm and the temperature did not cycle out of control ie turn earth into Venus then obviously CO2 is not the great threat we are led to believe it is. The fact that we once had 6000 ppm and then an ice age or two or three. CO2 is not a driver of climate change and our piddling 400 ppm is extremely low compared to past CO2 levels.
@hippyjoe1955

I understand the point about venus and the runaway greenhouse effect but CO2 and global temperatures appear to be intrinsically linked

ps that graph looked a lot clearer on my computer lol
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Ozymandiaz Funnily enough the CO2 seems to lag the temperature change not lead it. Not sure why but CO2 is obviously not a driver of climate change.
