Possible Alien Sightings

I wonder why we don't really hear about Alien UFO sightings anymore. They were getting fairly common and increasing for several years then it seems they just stopped.

I only saw one UFO (UAP) and that was almost 50 years ago. I don't spend much time outside at night now, so I don't expect to see another one. Maybe most people are just staying indoors.

@Nunki My fishing buddy and I were sitting on the dock on a cloudless, dark night when we saw a light in the distance. It moved along above the tree line for a few minutes, then it suddenly darted straight up. It seemed to stop and then sped off in a northerly direction before doing a sudden 90 degree turn straight up and disappeared.. Its speed was much faster than any conventional aircraft and there was no slow acceleration. It just WENT! There was no sound, but it was far away.

What color was it?
Was it just one spot of light or multiple? Could it be laser? @exexec

@Nunki Single white light. It was in the 1970's before lasers were common.
