They tried that, I think it was called Hooters!

@GerOttman Far from naked
@MeisterAndrew True, AND they had lots of problems...

@SomeMichGuy I don't know what you mean by had as they're still going. Also from people that go there it's a rather fine establishment and not the sleazy venue the media often makes it out to be.

@SomeMichGuy It must depend on location. And I guess in places like America you try to distinguish yourself through clientele. Here you have to do it through food and if it isn't up to scratch you won't make it.

And no, I don't feel a need to seek it out and go there but from what is posted on Insta it's just a normal restaurant with waitresses dressed like in the picture. Teazers is more the sleazy venue like Hooters probably is over there.

@GerOttman I find Hooters very cringy.
GerOttman · 61-69, M
@JimboSaturn I don't think it's an accident either

Friends have taken me into Hooters in south Florida before and I've never found Hooters "cringy" but I did find Hooters very "oddly American" in their obtusely awkward marketing presentation of what amounted to a benign 'family' chain restaurant product.

@swirlie Same here, it's just a family restaurant with a different vibe and sexy girls no more than what you see on the beach. Why I don't feel a need to go there for that purpose. But then I also don't feel a need to go to a strip club, not when you can get a girl to strip for you in private. The way I've always seen strip clubs are places where married men go to for what they can't get at home. When it comes to Hooters, at least here, if you go there to see sexy girls acting sleazy and not for the food you'll be disappointed.

..and sexy girls no more than what you see on the beach.

Really? What beach do you go to where you'd see a Hooters equal?

I'm at the beach all the time wherever I travel to in the world and I've yet to see girls on the beach trying to present themselves in the same vibe that American Hooters girls are hired and specifically trained to present themselves to those who patronize Hooters sports bars.

You may not know this but Hooters girls are fully clothed from neck to toe for hygienic reasons which is why they wear those hideous yet transparent pantyhose from their mid-waist to their toes with a pair of orange gym shorts thrown on overtop of that arrangement.

But then I also don't feel a need to go to a strip club, not when you can get a girl to strip for you in private.

So, you must be referring to hiring a 'call girl' to strip for you on demand, when you say you can get a girl to strip for you in private. Otherwise, what girl can you get to strip for you in private unless she was either your girlfriend (who doesn't count) or a hired 'call girl' who's services are solicited for that purpose?

The way I've always seen strip clubs are places where married men go to for what they can't get at home.

How would you know if married men frequent strip clubs or not, OR that married men go to a strip club for what they can't get at home?

The only way you could co-relate that perception to the patrons of any strip club is if you yourself were a married man and were in a strip club for that very reason. Otherwise, how else would you know that?

And why would you deduce that obtuse perception about married men if you didn't already know first-hand what a guy's motive was for patronizing a strip club featuring professional female strippers?

I should also ask you if what you've deduced about married men patronizing strip clubs also applies to married women who patronize male strip clubs?

When it comes to Hooters, at least here, if you go there to see sexy girls acting sleazy and not for the food you'll be disappointed.

Why would you even so much as infer that young women who work for Hooters, who are required by company policy to wear transparent pantyhose to above her waist with a pair of orange gym shorts thrown on overtop, with a matching orange tank top often worn overtop of a white cotton long-sleeved top, could even be remotely construed as "sexy girls acting sleazy"?

Let me remind you that Hooters Corp markets itself as a sports bar/chicken wings family restaurant chain spanning 29 countries with over 420 franchised locations, the very first of which was located in south Florida over 40 years ago, who's clientele include but is not limited to married men and their wives and children who sit at family tables being served by those girls wearing orange shorts and tops.

You would think that after 40 years of operation that the word would eventually get out on the street that Hooters sports bars do not tolerate sexy girls acting sleazy while on duty wearing the company logo on their shorts, which begs the question of why you would even think that ANY adult guy out there doesn't already know without asking, that he won't find sexy girls acting sleazy if he goes to a Hooters sports bar?
