You can either edit the post to remove the image tag to remove any reference to it in that post. Or you can delete it from your albums and it will be replaced by "[image deleted]" in every post you used it in.

Tap on ‘edit’ at the top right of the post and edit out the image tag, or go into ‘post images’ in your photo albums and delete the image from there (that will remove it from all posts it us in).

Here's the thing about this site, you get to pick and choose what posts to look at.
If, by chance, I end up on a post that I would rather not see....I exit out...my bad, I should have been paying better attention.

As long as you are being lawfully within common limits, you shouldn't feel the need to self censor.

That's my two cents.

If you get their user name you can block them and they can't see any of your posts.
You might ask admin to have those users block you as well.
Really that's all they have to do to not see you posts. They don't need to complain at all.
