Can single guys go to nude beaches by themselves or are they only for women and couples ?

Never been to one - wouldn't know the first thing about what's involved and what sort of rules, protocols, etiquette, etc. apply.

As a single guy it would probably feel wierd being surrounded by lots of women and couples who are nude, as single guys would look very out of place and be immediately considered to be sexual predators not legit beach users.

At least in Europe, nobody will see you as a "sexual predator" when you're on your own as a single man at a nude beach. There are many single men, and also women, at the beach. It's innocent nudity.

Anyone can go to a nude beach...as opposed to private clubs, some of which might have a policy of not allowing single males, most nude beaches are open to the public and can’t discriminate against single men.
You lack confidence. Just go and have fun. That's kind of the point at one of those places. Let go of your inhibitions and insecurities.

@PrincessVelvet i dont have a very attractive body.but that is probably a plus as any attention would probably scare me away.

I started going to nude beaches as a single guy when I was quite young and remember a couple of times getting appreciative glances from older women. I was not considered to be a sexual predator at all. Had I not been naked it might have been different though 😊

@kwood1 ive never been to one and haven't experienced publc nudity before.

Most nude beaches are very laid back and there are a lot of single guys. I've been on several while traveling on business and it's never been a issue. There were never any weird feelings, and if you keep to yourself you're generally seen as safe. If you drop your towel too close to anyone, or position yourself so you can get a better view of someone, you probably will be seen as creepy.

The only beach restriction I've ever encountered was when my wife and went to Couples Negril in Jamaica. Their section of beach set aside for nude was was nude required, and both husband and wife had to be there.

Nudist resorts sometimes have a single male quota.

@SandyBottom The one me and my wife have visited over many years is huge with room to find your own space Families , couples , single men .
Never a problem .

So it seems my lack of social self confidence bites me on the arse again... grrrr

Beside, I don't have a sexy 6-pack gym body. I had a 'dad bod' and a small penis that might as well not be there most of the time. It only gets to just over 5 inch erect and that's not enough for almost every woman.

That said I realise the idea of nude beaches is not for sexual predation but freedom of being sans-clothes without being judged, but people who are not sexy/beautiful automatically get 'judged' by everyone else.

@zonavar68 I imagine most people at nude gatherings do not have perfect bodies, not even close.
They probably would not judge you.

I can Guarantee you there are a lot more single guys on Naturist Beaches then couples and single women, just be yourself
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Same etiquette as if you have your clothes on. Don't stare, pay unwanted attention to individuals, etc.
CestManan · 46-50, F
You might be imagining these athletic "beach bodies" running around.
The reality is that you would probably see things that would leave mental scars.

Why would anyone want to subject themselves to that?
helenS · 36-40, F
@CestManan The same "mental scars" might probably arise by visiting a "clothed" beach.
There's really no big difference anymore, these days.
zonavar68 · 51-55, M
One thing this discussion shows is that we all have a huge difference of opinions to body positivity and nudity. I am very uncomfortable being nude in public because I don't feel confident being nude. I'm trying to overcome that fear.
LandOfOz · 61-69, M
Lots of single men do. They are the majority
helenS · 36-40, F
@LandOfOz When I was a girl, my family went to a nude beach occasionally. It was just natural and innocent nudity. I think that, today, a 15-year-old girl at such a beach is almost unheard of.
zonavar68 · 51-55, M
@LandOfOz Women regard us men as sexual predators which is why dating as a 50+ guy is basically impossible.
LandOfOz · 61-69, M
@zonavar68 yep ivr nearly given up with thaat stereotype
BigBulge · 41-45, M
I've been going to nude beaches for years. It only felt odd the first few minutes I was there. BTW, there have always been far more men than women.
PJBegonia · 51-55, F
We (hubby and I) often go to naturist beaches and there are always a lot of single men there, all sizes and shapes and ages.
I don’t think anyone would want to see me there, unless they have a robust sense of humour.
