At what age did you find out about sex? At what age did you figure out what it's for and how to actually do it?

I didn't really know anything about it until my late teens. Didn't understand it or figure out it's purpose(s) or how to do it until my mid-20's. Still don't really feel I completely understand it and how it fits into the wider fabric of relationships today (in my mid 50's).

My parents gave me a book explaining sex when I was 12. My older sister showed me all the interesting female parts, and I had my first orgasm accidentally when I was 11. My more experienced girlfriend increased my sex education through high school and college. I finally got to try out all of this wonderful knowledge on our wedding night when I was 22.
