I miss going to movies. I would have liked to have seen Dune, for example, on the big screen. But, yeah, until we get a better grip on COVID-19, I'm not going to the theater.

I saw Dune recently in the theater. My expectations for this movie were stratospheric. What a let down. Also, oddly, the snack bar was fully staffed but there was no one there to verify tickets.

Next movie theater is >30 miles away from where I live. Pre-covid I used to go there once a month or so, when they showed "arthouse" movies.
I haven't been there in 2021. Not even sure whether they are still open.

2019 was the last time.

I went more often in 2017, 2018, and 2019 than I did for several years prior to that. After my son was born in 2010, I had basically just stopped going to the movie theaters.

Its been a long long time. The value just isn't there anymore. Instead of paying 20 fucking dollars to watch a movie in public in can just sit at home and watch it on a giant flat-screen TV for free and pause,rewind, get high, and drink for free.
