Line writing

How many of you are strong believers in the punitive power of line writing? It’s something I dread, and had to do last weekend. There’s nothing as unfun as wasting part of your weekend writing lines

Seems counterintuitive, but I have found line writing to be a very useful tool in the correction collection for young adults. Writing something on a pad using a pen and not a keyboard can help retain a message or lesson. Especially when she's expected to speak it while writing it.

@Justcheckingout Sort of a tangent... when I was in EMT school, the nurse who taught it said when studying, "read it", "say it", "write it". It apparently uses multiple neural pathways and better helps retain the information.

oh no. That's not cool.

My wife had a problem in high school because she was very friendly and tended to talk in class. At least once a week, she had to write lines like "I will not talk in English class." It had absolutely no effect on her talking in class. She just couldn't help it, and it hasn't improved with age.

Why did you have to do that? Are you punished in other ways?

@SouthernGuy1987 of course! There’s many different forms of correction
