I will never understand why women or men would fake sexual satisfaction. Aren't you just cheating yourself? If your partner is not hitting the mark, speak up and help them out. I believe people become better lovers by communication during sex. I used to think that I was an expert at licking pussy, until a woman told me that constantly licking and sucking the clitoris can be too intense and even painful for some women. I would have never thought to change my technique if she would have remained silent and pretended that I was giving her the pleasure she wanted, when I actually wasn't.

@Pleasenothard fair question --I faked one because my GF (at the time) had an impregnation fantasy. Each couple who had a partner fake it had their own reasons. I had (platonic) female friends that told me they faked it with their husbands because faking it would make their hubby cum and they could finally get some sleep.
I am sorry for your oral experience. I don't want to analyze your relationship on a public forum but I would offer up that while you had sex as the top or near top of your list she may have other things at the top and maybe sex was somewhere in the middle or even low on the list.
when you say communication in a relationship I would not start with "what do you need in bed" but more of what are the top things you value in our relationship. It is a scary question for a guy to ask but you would probably find sex ain't one of the higher things in a lot of relationships. Maybe it wasn't in yours.
