What is it with the fascination with butts and anal sex kink?

We humans are into some strange and sometimes disgusting fetishes. People are into golden showers, water sports, scat and even putting their tongue in someone's anus. Those I find truly disgusting. Maybe it's me, but I can't imagine getting sexual gratification from doing any of those things. Anal intercourse is different, but still not my thing. I've tried it a few times and both the women and I didn't see or feel anything exceptionally wonderful about it. So, I've restricted myself to vaginal intercourse.
