{@gdon] perhaps they have personal reasons to be pessimistic or they are just a genuine misery guts and can not see good in anything . 🤷♂️ whatever the case do not get them bring you down and always keep your cheery positive optimistic outlook of things

@gdon39 Thanks, I had the same feelings as you and then realized that I was trying to communicate with others from my point of view and not from their world. I tried to appreciate those things that they valued and made them unique, to take pleasure in them even if they were outside of my way of thinking. Not having to be be best friends with them...just to communicate with them and try to gain some possible new insight.

And then some people, when you try to connect with them on a genuine human level, become afraid or confused because they feel like they don't deserve that, so they do what they can to push you away. Then it becomes a serious effort to try to connect with them, but if you don't keep trying, then they'll have proven themselves right in their own mind.
