So you donate money to a candidate's election campaign. How is your money spent?

Mike Lindell’s memoir, “What Are the Odds? From Crack Addict to CEO,” has enjoyed a new surge of sales since he announced a run for governor late last year.

Who’s buying the book, which details his addictions and his rise to fame?

His campaign for Minnesota governor.

Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, spent more than half the money he raised for his campaign last year buying copies of his book, according to Minnesota Campaign Finance Board data released Tuesday.

Lindell launched his campaign for Minnesota governor on Dec. 11, 2025, and in about two-and-a-half weeks raised $352,000 in individual donations.

In December, the Lindell campaign bought nearly $190,000 worth of Lindell autobiographies from MyPillow. Lindell’s campaign finance report lists the expense as “Advertising – general: Mike Lindell Books.”

Oh man I would be pissed. Certainly he broke some ethics rules set in place there?
@JimboSaturn If I were a donor to Lindell I'd be pissed. But as an opponent of everything he stands for, I love it!!

(1) Election money goes to Lindell's pockets instead of being spent opposing democratic candidates;
(2) It's another perfect example of how MAGA is truly about enriching the leadership at the expense of the average Joe.

This is really no different to transferring the donated funds directly into his own personal account.

He also financed some of Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election result and spread some unproven conspiracy theories.
@SunshineGirl I am surprised that his name is even on the ballot…

@KunsanVeteran

He is not on any ballot.

He did the paperwork to declare himself a candidate. Anybody can do that. Last night Minnesota had precinct caucuses, each of which will select delegates to go to regional conventions, which will select delegates to the state convention, which will endorse one person as the party's official candidate.

At each level, a delegate might declare for one particular candidate or might be "undecided."
@DrWatson I can’t think of too many potential candidates who would be worse than Pillow Addict, but of the few that are they surprisingly share one thing—they’re all already members of Demented Donnie’s misadministration!

I dont donate to campaigns.
I figure they will get money from the taxes I already pay.
Lindell—the best object lesson to keep teenagers and young adults off drugs!

The older MAGAts like RFK, Jr, Kegsbreath, Bovino, Giuliani, etc. are already passed the point of redemption or remediation
Minors and blow?
