They won't admit this, but I think the next generation of Republican candidates are secretly rooting for Harris. People like Kemp, Abbott, Youngkin, and Sununu would much rather run in an open Republican field against Harris for her second term in four years. If Trump wins, Vance will be the putative nominee and much harder to run against.

Trump predicted an economic depression if Harris wins. And he predicted the same thing if Biden won in 2020. How did that work out??
