Debate lies, Kamala told 25 lies after analysis

Moderators never fact checked anything from her. Harris is good friends with the woman who runs ABC. Don’t worry though because most Americans said Trump did better anyway. Major swing states he beats on the number one issue. The economy $$$

@joe438 says
She brought out the debunked stuff- the fine people on both sides,
Trump DID say "you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides." Here's the play-by-play.

On Saturday Aug 12 2017, in remarks from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, Trump said: "We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides."

He was widely criticized for failing to single out the white supremacists, who were marching in brown uniforms chanting "blood and soil," and one of whom drove a car into a crowd of people killing Heather Heyer and injuring nine others.

Senators Rubio, Hatch, & Cruz, all republicans, described the white supremacists' actions as domestic terrorism. Trump was widely criticized for trying to spread the blame on both sides and for failing to single out the neo-Nazis.

Two days later, on Monday August 14, while among White House spin doctors, Trump corrected his Aug 12 error:
Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans. We are a nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal. We are equal in the eyes of our creator, we are equal under the law and we are equal under our constitution. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry, strike at the very core of America.
If only he could have left it alone after that!

Then, on Tuesday Aug. 15, 2017, At Trump Tower Trump reversed himself, undid the damage control, and went back to bothsidesism. At a press conference to discuss an executive order on infrastructure permitting, reporters began asking questions about Trump’s initial response to violent protests in Charlottesville, Va.

It was at this press conference that Trump said that
TRUMP: I do think there is blame – yes, I think there is blame on both sides. You look at, you look at both sides. I think there’s blame on both sides, and I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either. And, and, and, and if you reported it accurately, you would say.

REPORTER: The neo-Nazis started this thing. They showed up in Charlottesville.

TRUMP: Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides.

There you have it, on Aug. 15, 2017 At Trump Tower Trump said "very fine people on both sides."
@joe438 Thanks for admitting that Trump said
"But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides."

From Snopes:
However, the accuracy of what Trump did claim – that there were "very fine people on both sides" of the 2017 Unite the Right debacle – is in question.

@ElwoodBlues I did say he didn’t say it. We all know it was taken out of context on purpose. He probably has used the word “left” in the past too, and while some will claim he thinks the “left Twix” is better, we all know the right Twix is far superior.

Wouldn’t it be fun if the media reported the truth regardless of how it made candidates look, and the candidates told us their ideas and plans instead of lying and attacking each other?
@joe438 After Trump's first Bedminster comments about Charlottesville he was blamed for spreading out the blame equally.
Senators Rubio, Hatch, & Cruz, all republicans, described the white supremacists' actions as domestic terrorism. Trump was widely criticized for trying to spread the blame on both sides and for failing to single out the neo-Nazis.

He fixed that in his 2nd, White House comments, then reversed himself and went back to bothsidesism in his third comments from Trump tower.

taken out of context on purpose.
NO! The phrase "very fine people on both sides" is shorthand for Trump's refusal to single out the white supremacist domestic terrorists. And it's an accurate portrayal of Trump's first and final comments on the issue.

After what analysis? Sean Hannity? Trump's self analysis?

The reality is that Trump lost the debate by a very large margin, and his acolytes feel they have to lie to salvage something from it. It won't work. Trump's campaign died Tuesday night and so did any hope of winning the election.

Even Fox said that it was a route. The "Woman who runs ABC"?
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
They didn’t fact check her because she did not tell any lies.

What debate were you watching that you thought Trump won? Do you actually believe some of the very radical and racist things he said?

@joe438 So you can't back up your claim?? Good to know.

joe438 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues I claim you can’t read. You just backed up my claim.

We have a cool thing in the internet called a “search engine” and asking it for a summary of the debate will bring up multiple examples. I and other people here have listed some, but you don’t want to see them- so here we are.
@joe438 I'm reading your comments though, joe🤣😂

I claim you can't back up your statement. And your every dodge proves me right.

@MoveAlong It was the latter, obviously. CNN did post a post-debate fact check, but they found Harris told one lie, not 113.

OMG, and would you like to compare hers to his? I am not saying she lied about Ben once, but you do know he can hardly express a sentence without lyng!

She brought out the debunked stuff- the fine people on both sides, that officers died in the Jan 6 riot, that he promised a bloodbath, but what he said was the car industry would suffer a bloodbath…

We know that politicians like to polish turds and pretend they’re precious gems. It was clear that Trump was just being Trump and that Kamala was parroting back speeches that they taught her in the week of debate camp. It would be lovely if we had a choice that was neither of them but we don’t.
@joe438 Trump DID say "very fine people on both sides," I gave the play-by-play elsewhere under this question.

that officers died in the Jan 6 riot
From the debate transcript:
I was at the Capitol on January 6th. I was the Vice President-Elect. I was also an acting senator. I was there. And on that day, the president of the United States incited a violent mob to attack our nation's Capitol, to desecrate our nation's Capitol. On that day, 140 law enforcement officers were injured. And some died. And understand, the former president has been indicted and impeached for exactly that reason.

Who died??

A stroke victim: A Capitol Police release the day after the riots said that USCP Officer Brian Sicknick “passed away due to injuries sustained while on-duty.” The report stated that Sicknick “was injured while physically engaging with protesters. He returned to his division office and collapsed.” He had also been pepper-sprayed by rioters.

Four suicides:

U.S. Capitol Police Officer Howard Liebengood, 51, who had been guarding the Capitol for 15 years and was on duty at the Capitol on Jan. 6. He took his own life three days after the riots.

Several days later, D.C. Police Officer Jeffrey Smith, 35, who was injured in the riots on Jan. 6, also committed suicide.
Update, March 21, 2022: On March 7, the District of Columbia’s Police and Firefighters’ Retirement and Relief Board declared that Metropolitan Police Officer Jeffrey Smith’s suicide in the days after the Jan. 6 riot was a line-of-duty death. The board concluded “that Officer Smith sustained a personal injury on January 6, 2021, while performing his duties and that his injury was the sole and direct cause of his death.”

In July, six months after the riot at the Capitol, Kyle DeFreytag, 26, was not involved with the clashes with rioters during the breach of the Capitol, but was deployed to the Capitol to help enforce the curfew put in place after the mob had been cleared from the building.

The same day the Metropolitan Police Department announced DeFreytag’s death, it confirmed that another officer, Gunther Hashida, had also committed suicide. Police Department spokesperson Kristen Metzger told CNN that Hashida was assigned to the emergency response team within the special operations division and had helped secure the Capitol on Jan. 6.

@ElwoodBlues This so bizarre. Why would 3 cops involved commit suicide? It just doesnt pass the smell test.
Cops see a lot of bad stuff. Cops are tough. I just dont understand how a riot would cause suicide. Did cops kill themselves en masse after 3 nights of anarchy in Minneapolis? After the Summer of Hell in Portland?
I am no conspiracy theorist, but this just seems way weird.
Justlookin · 51-55, M
Three against one and was obvious their main goal was to try and rattle him! Who on this earth with any backbone wouldn’t have been rattled with three liberal douchbags ganging up on you with false accusations??? When it comes down to it, who will run the country the best! Kamala has proven she is incapable of even keeping the border secure (which was intentional)!

Falsely accusing people of stealing people's pets to eat them counts as 4,000 lies.
Vin53 · M
Saying an election was stolen 4yrs ago with absolutely no evidence counts for 3,750 lies.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
They never do
Benjr134 · M
So still less than Trump who was determined to have told 32. Surprise, surprise you can’t trust a politician.
Benjr134 · M
@MasterLee really because I saw a report that showed that he said 34 lies. Maybe the internet has people that will prove anything to their narrative and maybe we shouldn’t be trusting politicians to tell the truth either way. If you type in lies told by Trump and lies told by Harris you get results saying how each have lied. So unless you are going to fact check yourself the only reason to believe one over the other is because of your own personal bias.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Benjr134 and your biases of course are pure

@Tksem that’s a nice summary.
windinhishair · 70-79, M
@Tksem Most of these are fantasies or unknowable (i.e., saying Trump won't do something in the future). Nice regurgitation of Reich-wing talking points though.

Now will you post the equivalent list for Trump?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Tksem accurate
