President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on the afternoon of Friday November 22, 1963.

It is one of those days we, who lived through it, will always remember. I remember being on break in anatomy class, we went to the bookstore for a drink, the manager told us about it. That was before internet, etc., so difficult to check if he was correct. I was in school in anti-JFK country, but, even the devout confederate-bending people said they hated the man, but, weren't happy with his being shot to death.
@samueltyler2 Did people talk about the event taking place in the south? Did they see it as a mark against Texas?

@flipper1966 not that I remember. One of the guys in my class knew someone in the Parkland hospital, so we were able to confirm the event quickly.
