Why don’t I vote in US elections…

Requirements are dictated by policy makers and your policy makers are elected into office by unfortunately ignorant partisan Americans. It’s a universal truth that all shit rolls downhill.
Ignorance wins the election, policy makers make ignorant decisions, those ignorant decisions become stupid requirements that aren’t worth human lives. But then that’s what we have to execute on. And that happens all the time. All The F@cking TIME!!!
“Participants are complicipants”
But what do I even know…? This is just the opinion of one of 8.025+ billion persons on this planet 🌎 (nothing special, nothing remarkable, not even remotely unique…)

@RunTheJulz Back in the early 90's I worked for the Washington, County, Oregon, elections department a half hour sw from DownTown Portland, I saw the process directly. You may think it's laughable on the federal level, from local to state you would be very surprised how close seats were won by only a few votes, even by only one.

@NativePortlander1970

And now I see you obviously don’t understand the concept of DGAF…

Not going to make a difference to me. It’s a system that I don’t want anything to do with.
Same result no matter what when where how or why.

@NativePortlander1970 Yeah, I wouldn't bother explaining it to this person. They're obviously too dense to grasp the basic concept.
@LordShadowfire We may not agree on much politically, but we both know the importance of voting.

@NativePortlander1970 So I have to assume that you are using the Royal “we”
I don’t have any idea how you got to your destination but maybe if you show your work in the margins it’ll be more evident where you went off track and off subject.

@RunTheJulz You were already told why voting was important. And I'm the other part of we @NativePortlander1970 was referring to. The two of us disagree on a lot of stuff. We can't get through a single day on here without arguing over vital issues. But we can both agree that if you're not voting, you're the problem.

@LordShadowfire wait wait let me get this straight… um ok so you’re saying that you don’t play well with others. Hmm shocking 🤣lol
@LordShadowfire We seem to be like Yin and Yang LOL

@NativePortlander1970 We always have been if you recall. It’s nothing personal. And I only made the post because I was sick of explaining to people why I have never voted. I have some far more fervent friends who serve or served in the military at the upper echelons of the Navy the Marines and the Army that I met while volunteering for a Wounded Warrior “Take a Disabled Veteran Surfing” program and they could really articulate far better than I why they never vote and never will. However what I truly believe is important is that no matter how anyone identifies themselves politically THE absolute most important thing right now is that we remember that we are all Americans and stop hating each other because we have a real threat and enemies who could careless about who we align ourselves with they just want us dead defeated and they want what we have and to surpass us on the worlds stage. I’m not talking about immigration or the southern border specifically because that’s so much more complex of an issue than it’s made out to be. Especially when you consider that the country who we do the most economic trade with is Mexico and the fentanyl epidemic has a lot more moving parts to it as well. Like the fact that money is not as important to the people producing the drugs. It’s US guns that they want most. And they get so many of them from “law abiding” American citizens who are trying to make extra income stream in the form of being a “straw buyer” and nobody is talking about shutting that down. I could go on but I don’t want to ramble off topic about stuff that isn’t exactly a popular agenda topic for anyone in government. My point is that if we’re going to have a better country then it starts with understanding and it includes identifying the true problems and issues and not singling out some specific group that has different beliefs. Tolerance of fellow countrymen is far more important than any other current issue in my opinion and that’s all I have ever claimed to be talking about, just my personal opinion. Anyway I hope you are having a pleasant evening.
@RunTheJulz Nothing but piddly empty excuses that mean nothing more than you're too lazy to vote. No vote, no voice.

We may not agree on much politically, but we both know the importance of voting.
You’re making an assumption about me that is incorrect. If we were to have a different system from the current dysfunctional duopoly then I would say that you’re statement is getting closer to being a generality that might apply but as you have stated currently it doesn’t come close to being correct or true to my point and my statements or even my personal philosophy.

@NativePortlander1970 I never said I didn’t like the myopic mentality that you seem to be stuck in.
You seem to have far more of an emotional attachment to this topic and this kind of discussion. Your behavior has made it abundantly clear that no only were you not exactly the leader of your forensics team but that you are so fixed in place that you have a fear of any other reality or form of reason. Good luck with that.

@NativePortlander1970 Keep saying that I think it’s about as soothing to you as a pacifier is to a baby. And the maturity level of your argument is not far off from an infantile intelligence level.
I guess you just enjoy being in a crib of your own design And the only source of your self fulfilling prophecy that only one truth exists. Let’s see how that works out for you in say 5 or 10 years when the pendulum starts to swing in the opposite direction and the sand you’ve buried your head in for your own personal comfort from having to actually think for yourself starts to turn into the beach of a rising tide.
When all you can do is follow your herd and you just parrot what you’ve heard you’ll face the same fate and you’ll contently walk into your own slaughter because you can’t even see it coming. Again best of luck with your inflexibility and inability to engage your higher intellect and understanding.
