As my friend and I walked back to the parking lot in downtown Austin last night, leaving the democratic

election watch party at the Driskill, we saw a homeless person in a sleeping bag.

The covered parking was very dark, and we heard from beside the slumbering person...a radio playing the election updates. We got into my car, turned to each other, and almost said at the exact same time: "That was dystopian asffff!!!"

Here I am, unintentionally benefitting from an election..merely because NOW fewer homes will be built, and fewer people will be able to BUY those homes. This means that my house will retain its value more.

This means more people on sidewalks, listening to an election they have no control over...living a destiny they are FORGOTTEN INTO. That just doesn't sit right with me.
Plus more poverty means more crime. Rich people won't have it nearly as bad as the working-class, but it's not like there are any winners here.
Americans can form leftist parties and vote for justice and socialism, peace and equality whenever you decide to. You choose winners instead, and history proves that punishing the people will indeed get them into line with the ownership.
