They want communism to take over which is bad it’s sounds good communism but it’s not realistic

SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
Every state should aspire to a more equal, more harmonious society.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@DogMan Not in my philosophy. Poverty and want should not exist at all in a well organised economy. Opportunity should be available to all, at all stages of life. Beyond that, you can do what you want.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@SunshineGirl Sounds like Utopia
DogMan · 61-69, M
@SunshineGirl There are a lot of horrible people on the planet that deserve nothing better than
poverty. They bring about their own problems, and deserve nothing.

I 100% believe the Nordic model of Social Democracy is the best kind of government because Capitalism stays but Socialist programs exist to help those who need help so yes America should definitely have Social Democracy and I will ALWAYS support Universal Healthcare! 😇😇😇
DogMan · 61-69, M
The Nordic Model

The Nordic model blends free-market capitalism with a comprehensive welfare state. It emphasizes:

Universal public services (healthcare, education, childcare) funded by high but progressive taxation

Strong labor unions and tripartite negotiations between government, employers, and unions to set wages and labor policies

High social mobility and low inequality, with all Nordic countries ranking among the world’s top in happiness and peace indices

.
Business-friendly environments with strong property rights and contract enforcement

@Afterlife by stealing their money
Afterlife · 70-79, MNew
@MasterLee It's America that steals money from the people. Health plans costs three times as much for one third the quality of care.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Afterlife yeah because the liberals set up the laws that way. They won't allow competition across state lines. The setup obamacare to funnel all monies the insurance companies.

Poll: Capitalism is out … and socialism is in.

The socialist brand is on the rise, according to recent polling, fueling the left flank of the Democratic Party to argue its ideology is becoming more mainstream.

Shortly after Gallup released data showing Democrats and independents are cooling toward capitalism, a progressive organization is out with a poll finding that more than half of likely Democratic voters prefer socialist-aligned figures like Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Zohran Mamdani to establishment politicians like Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jefrries and Nancy Pelosi.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@DogMan Margaret Thatcher said it the best. "Socialism works very well...... Until you run out of other people's money ". She was extremely right.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@nudistsueaz Yep, and we hear Dems saying they want to get rid of capitalism, I wish someone
would ask Bernie and AOC how we are going to fund all the socialist programs without Capitalism.

The Nordic countries are huge capitalists. But don't tell Bernie.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@DogMan Exactly
carpediem · M
No. Why fix what isn't broke? Despite the whiny liberals here, the US is, was and shall remain the world's leader. Why change what's been working for a long time? Even Nordic states are adjusting their social benefits to include more means tesing and residency time frame and work requirements.

In real life, the grass isn't always greener elsewhere.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@carpediem The trouble being that your current president ran an election campaign asserting that just about every aspect of American society, government and economy is utterly broken . . . 🤔
DogMan · 61-69, M
@SunshineGirl Is that right? tell us more.
DogMan · 61-69, M
The Nordic states — Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden — are small, stable democracies with strong parliamentary systems, high levels of political trust, and a shared political culture rooted in social democracy
DogMan · 61-69, M
It seems that most Democrats hate Capitalism, and love Socialism.

Do they know that Socialism in Nordic countries relies on Capitalism to fund
their social programs?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Strictmichael75 Are they the only ones that buy stuff? All the rich people I know, buy stuff
all the time.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@DogMan man you certainly don’t understand the logic
It’s way above your pay grade
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Strictmichael75 It sounds like you are saying that without poor people, capitalism would die.

I'm saying that without capitalism, we would all be destitute. Do you agree with that?
America need less self serving politicians.
More ppl serving..
val70 · 56-60
Nah, you don't even consider socialists non-commies.

Waveney · M
You're actually jealous, aren't you. You should be.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Waveney I have nothing to be jealous of. I achieved the American dream many years ago.

My trust will make a few people very wealthy when I pass. I'm still trying to decide who will
get my beautiful vacation home in the mountains of southern Utah. It's a tough decision.

My ranch will go to a non-profit animal rescue, since it is set up for Dogs, Horses, etc..

Luckily there is no debt for anyone to contend with.
Waveney · M
@DogMan Well in that case that's admirable.
Khenpal1 · M
what you mean by Nordic ?
Khenpal1 · M
@DogMan Maybe that's the problem , the united. Most part of Europe , the law apply the the whole country.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Khenpal1 Yeah, its tough having 50 states that are each the size of a European country.

But it has worked out great for me. I live in the southwest, and spend a lot of time in southern
Utah. It is the most beautiful place in the world. From Zion to Moab. I do a lot of 4 wheeling
and dirt bike riding in what can only be described as Paradise.
Khenpal1 · M
@DogMan I get it , solution could be less states . Its too expensive . Where possible they should join into one . 30 is good number to start.
MrLucky1 · 70-79, M
Americans could not handle it. Too much brainwashed fear of communism. Almost every other country in the G20 is a form of social democracy and none have become raging commies. The US just has to grow up a little.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MrLucky1 too much instilled freedom you mean
MrLucky1 · 70-79, M
@MasterLee From a country that requires their citizens publicize their political affiliation and restrains political participation to a choice between one of two parties that are controlled by dark money, Instilled freedom seems a bit of a joke.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@MrLucky1 to you it would be. To us, we cannot be corraled and forced to to pay into a corrupt system any longer.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
Sometimes the truth is really hard to hear.
AthrillatheHunt · 56-60, M
There’s SO many ways that question could be interpreted. Kinda like a litmus test .
