If Trump now installs the rightful winner of the Venezuelan election (i.e. Maria Corina Machado), then MAYBE the capture of Maduro is justified.

But he won't because she got the Nobel Peace Prize and he didn't; so instead, he's continuing the regime, with a puppet president (Delcy Rodríguez) who has been told to stand aside and allow the US to steal Venezuela's oil.

Her continued oppression of the Venezuelan people, and the continued (modest) flow of drugs into the US will not be Trump's problem.

@DogMan

Here's a scenario for you
He runs as VP
They get elected
President steps down
He's now president

And before you cry 2 term limit ... it specifically states "elected" not holding office ... legal analysis said it was a legal move
G7J2O · M
@DogMan All dictators have to leave office eventually. But no, Trump's next move will be running as VP for Vance, a la Putin and Medvedev, and then Vance will mysteriously "step down".

Yes, when they DIE!

Dictators do not step aside unless they appoint someone just like them to
take their place at the throne. Very similar to the Democrats forgoing primaries
and appointing Kamala to run. That is the closest thing we have had to a dictatorship.

Are you starting to see the difference between Trump and REAL Dictators?
DogMan · 61-69, M
The left calls Trump a Dictator and they want him assassinated.

But if we put a REAL Dictator on trial, they have a cow.

Why is that? What is it that they enjoy about having Dictators ruin countries and suppress its people?

Everyone on the planet knows he lost the election. The entire UN knows it.

The Democrats that are complaining are the same ones that were OK with Obama taking out Gaddafi.

The difference is Obama allowed Libya to turn into a worse place than it was under Gaddafi.

If you are going to save people from a Dictator, put a little effort into helping afterwards.

And how is Trump going to do that? All he has done is installed Maduro’s second-in-command.

As you said, Maduro lost the election, the entire UN knows it. So why does Trump want the regime to continue?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@G7J2O All he has done is installed Maduro’s second-in-command.

This stuff doesn't happen in a few days. Grow up.
G7J2O · M
@DogMan But Trump also said the US would be running Venezuela.

I'll wait to see if fresh elections are called in a few weeks/months. But I won't be holding my breath that they ever happen.

22% of all murders in Venezuela are done by the Maduro regime.

The same regime that he is currently propping up by endorsing Maduro's deputy as president 🤔

Yes dear...Regime changes take time. Now if you want to know what the Dog Man thinks...

.I think they need to first crack down BIG TIME on criminal cartels. They could take a lesson from El Salvador.

Once they make it safe, the right people will come in and spend billions bringing the infrastructure back up to par.

The people need food, medicine, and other supplies. Also the power grid does not work. Half the people
do not have power and the rest have black outs all the time. Also water, sewer and all the other shit
that Dictators do not keep up.

The oil industry is also in shambles, and will require billions to bring back up.

It was a prosperous country when the right people ran it.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@DogMan None of which I disagree with.

But the fact remains that Trump has resorted to illegal and undemocratic methods to achieve these ends. And in the process has lowered the bar for other would-be strongmen to disregard international law and sovereign rights.

The world is less safe now than it was this time last week.
Midlifemale · 61-69, M
@DogMan the democrats have so much hatred for Trump and Republicans, but absolutely NO common sense !!!
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Midlifemale I know, it's sick isn't it?
Convivial · 26-30, F
And 100% of the January 6th rioters are propping up the Trump regime 😜
