Are other political signs accepted? Which campuses? I will bet that no political advertising is allowed. That stands true in some hoa neighborhoods, public properties.

Does it cause you any harm or inconvenience to have those warnings? It is about empathy and making incremental adjustments to make the public sphere welcome (or at least less intimidating) to all.

Do you actually know why those signs were banned? Possibly because college campuses are places of learning, not political theatres.

@SunshineGirl Oh really, then why were the protests allowed on campus?
Carla · 61-69, F
@Adrift i will bet a dollar that expressing personal beliefs are not disallowed. Red hats. T shirts. Tats. Personal.
Freedom of assembly and speech. It's a thing.
Campuses tend to discourage issues that will incite unrest which can lead to safety issues amongst the students and faculty. Its not the fragile, its the passionate and willing to fight against those who merely disagree with them that is the issue.

Also, The term “trigger” originally comes from PTSD research, especially related to war veterans and trauma survivors. A “trigger” referred to a stimulus (e.g., sound, image, word) that could provoke an intense emotional or physical reaction tied to past trauma. Has little to nothing to do with only loud bangs.
