It's an independent company. Usually the problems we have in Canada is trade agreements with the US about mining and rare earth materials. Not the crown owning, though there is disputes, but it's pretty sovereign and corporate even here...

@Lostpoet All I see is owned by Rio Tinto, an Anglo-Australian company, founded in 1873, purchased a mining complex from the Spanish government. Even if the royal family has role in here, it's so diminished upon the power the US holds, you are worrying over concerns non existent, especially when I can say, the role of the monarchy here is almost non-existent... actually emphasizes why I like it the way it is, as I get a more honest account of the actualities.
