Crazy world

Russia uses their threat of Nuclear War, and does anything they want and the rest of the world does nothing to stop them. Then China joins them, and makes similar crazy connotations. And then there is North Korea, launching ICBM's into Japan, and then threatening the US with war if they shoot any of them down, and the US, being sheep, just let all this happen.
Now the good thing is, Russia is losing/has lost, a lot of their best fighters/commanders in Ukraine over the past year, and the US hasn't lost a single man, but China is also playing that game, waiting to be dominant in the Ocean before making their move on Taiwan, and they certainly have a much bigger army. If war starts, it almost certainly has to become nuclear quickly, it will be the only way the US can compete. So how long do we all have left on this earth? Days? Months? Years?

The actual threat from China is, I believe, overstated. There is no doubt they were watching how Ukraine went and were hopeful Russia would take it easily and the world would move on. That would give them courage to make a move on Taiwan.

The fact that Ukraine has not gone well for Russia and that the West is grinding the Russian economy into dust with sanctions is going to be a strong deterrent for China. The longer the West backs Ukraine despite the pain caused by sanctions on Russian oil, natural gas, and pot ash, the scarier taking direct military actions becomes for China.

All that on top of China's demographic problems and the economic challenges imposed by the pandemic means they are already in risky territory without upsetting the global community.

There is a lot more in play than military might. And China has a long ass way to go to rival US naval capacity in the Pacific.
