So the WHO has put a stop to the booster shots for right now.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) is calling for the United States and other countries to put a full stop on booster shots.

The WHO Chief said there should be a moratorium for at least the rest of this year so that other developing countries can get their first doses.

Rich countries will probably do their usual thing , I doubt they will share.

@Sinful The US already donated 140 Million doses. The EU promised to donate 160 Million doses, but as of the end of July less than 1 Million were actually delivered.

The real issue is not the vaccines, it's the infrastructure needed to deliver the shots, something the countries that most need it don't have.

I think today they said we've purchased enough for boosters as well as giving more vax to other countries, still.

The WHO can't put a stop top anything. The US and other nations will do what's in their own national interest. The US has so far donated 140 Million shots to other countries.

Political pressure will be the determining factor. Logically, it makes no sense to fix multiple leaks in a pipe by plugging the one closest to you, but this is the world we live in.
@Northwest True, WHO can only recommend.

If I had the option, I'd donate my eventual booster to some 3rd world doctor that had no other protection. But we don't get that choice.

Well now "the base" will want their shot.
