No just not going to bomb power plants, for the moment.

@MasterLee And by doing that he may just have withdrawn from the brink of a worldwide economic collapse. I mean, he started it in the first place, but still. He clearly has one or two brain cells left that aren't hopelessly addled by paranoia and full-blown dementia.

@Waveney well hello unqualified british bot

Ah, splendid—nothing like being called a “British bot” to really validate the firmware.

Do feel free to note, my distinguished troll, that even a so-called “unqualified British bot” can read a timeline: the current Iran conflict kicked off with large-scale US–Israel strikes in February 2026, triggering regional retaliation and rather serious civilian and geopolitical consequences.

But by all means, do carry on contributing absolutely nothing of substance. It’s a proud tradition.

Trump has just withdrawn his stupid threat to blow up all the civilian infrastructure unless the Straight of Hormuz is opened in the next few hours. I read some detail on BBC News which tells me that the Iranians have entered negotiations (according to Trump) so the threat is withdrawn. TACO?

Incidentally, I am glad that he has backed down. I imagine the opposition banked on it.

I wouldn't credit him with enough intelligence or discipline to manipulate the stock market. On Friday he said the war was "winding down" and that the USA did not use the Strait of Hormuz. On Saturday he gave a 48 hour deadline for Iran to reopen the strait. This morning he has backed down, claiming improbably that he has had "productive conversations" with the regime: Iran denies having talked to America at all.

One thing we can count on, TACO.
