I wonder when the last time was that the IDF killed an actual combatant?
Have you ever seen a statement by Hamas detailing how many of their operatives were killed amongst the general Gazan population, @Hopelandia?

It's not used lightly. But why then have Amnesty International, Médecins Sans Frontières, UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, Genocide Watch, the Lemkin Institute, and the American Center for Constitutional Rights ALL accused Israel of genocide?
And there are court cases:
1. South Africa v. Israel at the ICJ
Filed: December 29, 2023 at the International Court of Justice under the Genocide Convention.
Interim Orders (Jan 26, 2024): Israel must prevent genocide, allow humanitarian access, stop incitement, and preserve evidence.
Ongoing prosecution: Israel’s final response is expected by July 2025.
2. International Criminal Court (ICC) Complaints
By Palestinian NGOs (Al‑Haqq, Al‑Mezan, PCHR): Filed November 2023, seeking investigation & arrest warrants for genocide/apartheid .
Hind Rajab Foundation: In October 2024 they filed war‑crimes/genocide claims, nominating Israeli leaders and several soldiers to ICC .
3. U.S. Lawsuits
CCR-led suit vs. U.S. government (Nov 2023): Dismissed—court found genocide claims “plausible,” but dismissed for lack of jurisdiction .
Defense for Children International – Palestine v. Biden: Filed Nov 2023, dismissed Jan 31, 2024; plaintiffs argued U.S. was complicit in genocide. Courts again ruled it non-justiciable .
4 (indirectly). Nicaragua v. Germany at ICJ
Filed after South Africa’s motion; it accuses Germany of breaching obligations under the Genocide Convention due to support for Israel. Preliminary provisional measures were deemed unnecessary given South Africa’s case.
genocide, such a loaded term

@Hopelandia now he's just laugh reacting. You know who usually do that in debates?
Trumpers, Nazis and Tankies. Authoritarians basically.

I will admit that what Hamas did was barbaric. I would admit that had Israel swiftly and incisively entered Gaza, decapitated the Hamas leadership, taken out the combatants, and secured the release of the hostages, I would have said that was justified. The IDF and Mossad are MORE than capable. And don't start bleating about human shields; you think they haven't thought of that?
But Netanyahu is facing prosecution and jail at home as soon as he is voted out. His government can only survive with the support of Itamal Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, who want nothing less than the extermination of the Palestinian people.
Which is why, to protect his own skin, and regardless of what his actual feelings are, Netanyahu needs this forever war, which involves leaving the remaining hostages to rot and carrying out a genocide in Gaza.
might have more respect if you could just admit that Hamas are brutal savages who knew full well what would rain down on the citizens of Gaza. But you won't, will you? Your political dogma won't allow that, will it?

"save the hostages" all while they relentlessly bomb the entirety of Gaza where the hostages are supposed to be. Almost like they were looking for an excuse to heighten the attacks.

Why are they denying anything at this point
kodiac · 22-25, M
What about all the kids killed at the music concert by hammas? Beheaded babies ?
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@kodiac no, he didn't deflect. You did. Words have meanings. Just because that bloated orange corpse in power says "no, you", doesn't make it a logical argument.

@MayorOfCrushtown Gotta love how you think ANY criticism of ANYTHING the Israeli government does is automatically anti-Semitic.
That's why Israel can literally do whatever it wants.

@MayorOfCrushtown if you think Israel represents all Jewish people and all Jewish people support the Israeli government, you might be the Antisemite.
Hopelandia · M
@basilfawlty89 Agreed. @MayorOfCrushtown's lack of humanity is showing through.
