Why a ceasefire?

In 1945 much of Europe lay in ruins. Civilians were killed, crippled, left homeless, starving literally by millions. Nobody said, let's have a humanitarian ceasefire and give the Germans time to re-arm and re-group.

The war did not end until the Nazi government had been driven from power. Because that was necessary to prevent a new round of atrocities and warfare. And it was indeed the right thing to do.

How does it make sense to provide the genocidal terrorist group Hamas with the chance to re-arm and commit more diabolical crimes like the one they did in October.

Hamas is no better than the Nazis were and should have been dealt with in the same way.

We can't wait for the war to end because Hamas doesn't have enough power to defeat its occupier, especially not when most of the West is helping that nation commit genocide.

@NerdyPotato Keep in mind that the civilians are not the intended targets and that the reason they come to harm is the the Hamas terrorists intentionally base close to concentrations of innocent people. Hamas does not value the lives of the people of Gaza. Hamas wants civilian casualties so that Hamas can create propaganda.
@justbob the civilians are just as much the intended target as Hamas members are. Israel shoots and bombs everything that moves, sometimes including their own soldiers. If it was really only about Hamas, they could easily use a sniper rifle to hit just that one person instead blowing up an entire crowd.

@NerdyPotato Absolutely untrue. Also a bit naive about the abilities of military forces.
@justbob which part is untrue?

@NerdyPotato Every word.
