Recent developments in Syria

The Syrian rebels overran most of Aleppo this weekend. Not much is said about current western support given to Syrian rebels, but we can be sure they are still heavily supported by US and UK. The CIA helped the rebels with a number of operations in the past. They probably helped them with this operation. Until US and Israel stop interfering in the Middle East, there will be war in the Middle East. It is up to Iran and Syria how they govern their countries. Turkey should back off too.

No, they are not. The Syrian rebels, mostly tuck in limbo for years, have been mostly supported by Turkey.

They are Islamist, but not the ISIS type.

The Kurdish neighborhoods have been taken over by Kurdish militias (they get equipment from the US and other western sources).

The rebels stayed clear of the Christian sections of Aleppo.

So, NO, the west did not help the rebels.

Until US and Israel stop interfering in the Middle East

You're aware that Israel is right smack in the middle of the Middle East, right?

Not to be a stickler for details, but you're aware that Iran share no border with Syrian, right?

@Northwest The CIA supports them covertly. Why would they abandon their Syria project?

“They are Islamist, but not the ISIS type.”

Can you explain? Does it matter if they are what you call the “ISIS type”? Why are they trying to get rid of Assad, and why should anyone help them get rid of Assad? Why do CIA and Mossad keep interfering?

“You're aware that Israel is right smack in the middle of the Middle East, right?”

I have been to Israel. I know where it is located. It is in the Levant and was formerly Palestine; it was renamed Palestine by the Romans. There has long been a “Yisrael” to Jews, but this current state we have does not belong in the Middle East. It causes nothing but problems in the Middle East. It interferes in the affairs of other countries and starts wars. Israel may as well be an alien state from another planet.

“Not to be a stickler for details, but you're aware that Iran share no border with Syrian, right?”

Why are you asking this? I am saying that Iran, a country which US and Israel keep messing with, should be left alone, and Syria, another project of theirs, should be left alone. Iran is allied with Syria. It will be Iran and Russia helping Assad push the rebels out of Aleppo again, and the rebels should be pushed out.

And why would the US supports these groups? We stopped engaging in the type of ill fated foreign engagements that gave us the 2003 Iraq war.

Why do CIA and Mossad keep interfering?

The US and Israeli interests may converge in certain areas, but they are not the same. You may have been to Israel, but you missed an opportunity to learn something.

The word Palestine did not originate by the Romans. It was popularized by the Greek, and most likely originated from an Aramaic term.

And the term Y'israel, and Philista both have the same common root in Aramaic.

But so what?

The current state of Israel is a 20th century creation. Same as ALL Middle Eastern countries. But you don't seem to understand that. The abnormality is that there is no State off Israel, side by side with a State of Palestine.

Your claims are really alien to propaganda from rebels without a clue, who mixed it all together, based on superficial misunderstandings and minimal understanding of facts.

The US, at the urging of the UK, overthrew Sadegh in 1953, high on cold war fear.

The world was a different place when President Obama took his first trip to the Middle East, and took the podium at Cairo University, to deliver his "mea culpa" speech, asking Arabs and Iran to meet him halfway, and shake the hands he extended in peace and a desire to positively move forward.

Obama even built a world alliance, to lift sanctions against Iran.

Iran, however, reacted by hardening up the Mullahs grip on power, and affirming their plan to accept nothing sort of total control of Shiite Islam over Jerusalem and all of Israel and Palestine.

Anyone confused about this, is simply confused.

This makes it Israel's business. And you don't seem to understand what this means.

Things may change when Trump get sot power, but the rebels without a clue, who were chanting "LGBTQ for Hamas" are simply laughable.

@Northwest The US has 900–1000 troops in Syria. What are they doing in Syria if there is no involvement from US? This is like setting a house on fire and denying any responsibility. You cannot set a house on fire and run away, claiming you have nothing to do with it. Syria would not be ablaze were it not for intervention from United States. They say Trump ended the covert CIA program to arm and train Syrian rebels. When he left office, they probably secretly started it again.

I did not say Palestine originated from the Romans. I said the Romans renamed the land Palestine. They did this after second armed revolt in Judea. You need to read what I write carefully, instead of misreading and making faulty assumptions. Your arrogance probably makes you slip up a lot, doesn't it?

“The current state of Israel is a 20th century creation. Same as ALL Middle Eastern countries. But you don't seem to understand that. The abnormality is that there is no State off Israel, side by side with a State of Palestine.”

Palestine had hundreds of thousands of Arabs living in it, most of whom were expelled when the plan to divide the land failed and they wanted to build more homes for Jews. Israel was a revival project. The other countries in the Middle East were not revived, and the demographics did not change. Lebanon changed somewhat as many of them were Christian and now there are only 30% or so left. What else changed in the other countries? They were still Muslim. Israel is the only nation in the Middle East where the majority is not Muslim. Prior to the mid 20th century, this was not the case. This was how it had been in Palestine since the 13th century. The US was very interested in helping Israel become a state, which is why it pushed for it to happen. Israel is apparently useful to the Deep State. It is important for them to have a state in the Middle East. Mossad works with CIA and helps them spy on other nations and cause trouble in other nations.

“Iran, however, reacted by hardening up the Mullahs grip on power, and affirming their plan to accept nothing sort of total control of Shiite Islam over Jerusalem and all of Israel and Palestine.”

Iran does not like Israel and does what it can to respond to the hostile actions of Israel, but they know they can't take over Jerusalem. You are deluded if you think the Iranians believe this can be achieved. All they do is get angry about how Muslims are being treated by Israel, Israel meddling, and Israel dominating the region.

@SW-User Look dude, I am humoring you here. You're not a 22-25F. You're some guy, a rebel without a clue.

Here's a clue moron: when Israel, France and the UK attacked the Suez canal, President Eisenhower put the US military on alert, and told these three countries that if they did not pull out immediately, the US would expel them by force, and he was ready to do it.

This was based on a promise by Nasser to keep the canal neutral. Nasser lied and one of his biographers says he bragged about how easy it was to like to the Americans.

When the 1967 war started, Israel did not a single weapon from the US.

When Israel started its nuclear weapon, President Kennedy tried to kill it, same with Johnson, but the Israelis did it working jointly with the French.

NONE of the countries in the Middle East were countries and while there hundreds of thousands of Christians and Muslims living in Palestine, they had no say in the situation. Egypt, Syria and Iraq decided that there will be no Israel, so they asked the people to eave temporarily. Those who did not come back, those who stayed, became Israeli citizens in the new state.
