I love how they say war recruitments are down.
I've since changed my mind about wanting to work with the military, partially because I see how veterans are treated and the low pay that comes it, the propaganda too and the fact that very few wars are fought for self defense purposes. However, I remember when I said I wanted to be a sniper when I was young, around 13, throughout most of my high school I really wanted to try out for it.
Honestly, there's female snipers in other countries so I knew what the military recruiter was saying was a lie but at the time, I didn't know that there were even other female snipers, just that I knew his claims were a lie. I couldn't really defend myself properly at the time. But I got publicly humiliated by the recruiter, he asked what happens when I get my monthly, women can't carry weight on their backs and told me I should go be a nurse or an receptionist in front of the entire class.
Well last laugh is mine because they really fcked themselves with waning public trust and turning away people like me who actually wanted to be in the back of the battle field defending those soldiers and not people that you have to NOW be forced to draft in who likely don't want to fight because nobody wants to work for your stupid as- anymore.
I always said that how the military treats people, the last laugh is going to be mine. I felt that when I was 13 even, deep down inside I always thought to myself, "wow they're going to hurt in the future due to their own ignorance," because you know if I was treated that way, I'm sure there's other similar stories of dirty tactics the military does. Everyone knows it lol.
😭😆
