The "Religion of Peace" had a successful holiday season of bombings. Why would anyone be surprised if they did an encore show or two.

@IronHamster christianity did that when it was a similar age still sometimes. Not as much now. So. . . I asked the question to accelerate peace among immature followers of one of the 'youngest' religions.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@jehova No they didn't.
jehova · 31-35, M
@IronHamster ok so u forget the inquisition the witch trials the medival period all of the inquisitions. The purge of native americans the murder of the druids. Etc. Much was commited by christians against non believers. So ok.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@jehova Nope. I forgot nothing. Did you make something up?
jehova · 31-35, M
@IronHamster i know ppl(humans) commit violence inspired by religion. Thats the only thing i know. And that i do my best not to comit violence so. . .

@jehova The problem with the insane is that they know so much that just isn't so.

Mohammad and the Buddha both led their followers into war. Jesus nor Paul ever did. You, if you look with honest inquisitiveness, will find, attrocitoes committed by Christians are done in spite of Christian beliefs, not because of them. St Thomas Aquinas should be required reading for you, regarding his works on what constitutes a valid reason for war. I think you will find it most enlightening.

@IronHamster i will look into that more my query is that followers of prophets comit violence. My concern is prophets in general oppose violence yet somehow inspire it in others. Thank you for you refer to st. Thomas. Ive not read his works in a long long while.
Thank you!
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@jehova Does any prophet truly generally oppose violence?! Who do you consider such a prophet to be?
@IronHamster Jesus and Paul were peaceful, but Christianity only spread in Europe, Africa, and South America at the point of a sword. Christian history is just as blood-soaked as Islam.

If your response is “not true Christians,” then you should return to the pagan religion of your ancestors since they were converted violently which doesn’t count.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom No. It's not just as blood soaked. My ancestors in Germany took on Christianity because one of the tribal leaders replaced Thor's hammer with a cross. You can hardly blame such a crude conversion and the results on the Beatitudes.

@Theyitis Now, you really should analyze the data because in order to come to that conclusion per data you must determine that fundamentalist Islamists are doing the violence and because they are fundamentalists they are by definition right wing.
Theyitis · 36-40, M
@IronHamster You know, I didn’t think of that, but yeah, you’re right, the Islamists are right wing. But no, I’m pretty sure I heard some government report say that right wing extremist groups are the most common culprits in terrorist attacks in the US lately. Many of those groups I believe were Christian nationalist groups.

@Theyitis Oh. Um. This is the same government that told you two weeks to stop the spread, that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation, and that J6 was an insurrection, right? So..., what is your opinion?
