Another $50 Billion Or Else

Or else what? Send more American military to die in foreign wars where the US has no national interests or strategy?

This feels like a a hostage situation...give us the $50 billion, or we send your sons and daughters off to die.

US citizens are sick of war, and a move like this would be political suicide to the current administration. We know it, and they know it.

This seems like a sign of real desperation to me.

Lawmakers can refuse to fund it or the government for that matter...Threatening congress with sending our soldiers to die is disgusting. Its all about saving their asses.
@TexChik It is one of the most disgusting displays yet.

@BizSuitStacy Socialists are all about the cash, by any means.

Keep printing that money... print it, print it, print it, soon you will experience hyperinflation and maybe then maybe, Americans will stop this madman and his madness

@Anton

That is what they want though. Their plan is to bankrupt the country so they can usher in the new "Social Credit Score" system, so the banks are given control. If the Banks have control, the banks can not be accused, nor be held accountable for circumventing the Constitution.

And now remind me what friendly fire is a d what causes it
@MarineBob that is an interesting thought.

If Russia were to attack a NATO nation, yes we as a part of that agreement are obligated to assist that nation as it is considered an attack on all NATO countries.
@soar2newhighs and that's the narrative. But in the almost 75 years since NATO was established, Russia hasn't progressed westward, but NATO has progressed eastward. CIA director, Bill Burns, has been warning about NATO provoking a Russian response since 1995.
@BizSuitStacy To have advanced eastward toward Russia is one thing albeit a threat considered by the Kremlin; as long as there is no aggression by NATO it is most likely going to be a stand off for a long time.
The U.S. and the other NATO countries are well aware of Russia’s military capabilities particularly their nuclear arsenal. That’s a gamble NATO might not want to chance.
As for Ukraine I don’t see a victory for Zelensky. They’d be wise to go to peace

Is this referring to a possible draft or people already in the military?
@Rolexeo My response is a guess, but you asked about a draft. Fair question. Personally I don’t see that happening. If it were to be re I Instituted, two things for sure1: if you thought you saw pro Palestinian matches, rallies and chaos, they would pale in comparison to anti draft resistance. 2. If the current administration openly approaches that idea or were to do it, Biden and his administration would be a memory. He’d be slaughtered politically.
@Rolexeo I don't think is a threat to reinstate the draft, though Biden has raised that as a concern as recruiting and enlistment are way down under his administration. I think those with a political/financial connection to the military industrial complex see the money valve is about to be shutoff. This threat from Austin is a form of extortion. He may have just ended his military career.
