Are we close to WW3?

What is the likelihood of a world war occuring in the near future? Will it happen soon or in many years to come?

Or, will it happen at all?

Possibly, but I have a feeling that most countries are more hesitant to interfere with other countries than decades ago. The USA seems to be heading to a Civil War. I suppose that will keep the focus on their national crisis.

@eMortal are you sure? Suppose that is true, than that doesn't automatically mean that there can't be a civil war. If one side is armed, it probably is finished sooner. Anyway, let's hope things are not going to escalate any further.
