@Elessar if we intervene every time a larger country invades a smaller country, we will likely bankrupt ourselves. of course, thats never stopped us before. but, hey, the defense contractors and military industrial complex makes billions. i should probably invest in whatever company is manufacturing all the weapons, if everyone is gonna get rich, i might as well throw my hat in.
@YourMomsSecretCrush No, you don't; we've spent far more for pointless idiotic wars like Iraq than in all the aids sent to Ukraine even counting from 2014(!) to today. Allowing Russia to begin an expansion campaign, which would be immediately followed by China (starting with Taiwan), and by virtually anyone else who has nukes and threatens anyone who may interfere with them is how you go bankrupt (and worse, become internationally irrelevant), not the other way around.
You don't really want to live in the alternative reality in which Russia successfully captured Ukraine and created the precedent of "anyone who threaten nuclear weapon use can expand".
