I dont think so, the West would ideally like Ukraine to be a festering battle sapping Russian resources and willpower, or a fullblown invasion staging ground. Turning the area into a radiative nogo zone won't help with that. More likely keeping the area full of civilians will give more cover to "We need to act now" narratives than a wasteland
