I Dont Understand How You Can Be Pro Life and Pro War

But how can you claim to be pro-life and then also advocate for the second amendment?¿

your freedom has never been jeopardized in any way by our government or an outside force..once it is, then you will understand..
@booboo Whose freedom has never been jeopardized by the government or an outside force ? How would you know ?
booboo · M
@bijouxbroussard i guess i was talking about an invasion on native soil...it hasn't happened "yet"... when it does, people will reconsider their opinion about the 2nd amendment...but if things progress as they are, it will be too late
@booboo Statistics indicate more possibility of harm at the hands of fellow citizens and domestic terrorists. And I’m forever amused that people think even assault weapons would be a match against a government that commands a highly trained military—not to mention nuclear weapons.
booboo · M
@bijouxbroussard well, glad you find it "amusing"... time will tell if your chuckling will be put to the test regarding survival AFTER a nuclear war...
@booboo Gawd forbid. In that event we’d also see how much the 2nd Amendment would be a factor in the face of a nuclear war. How do you see a handgun or semi holding back a nuclear bomb ? 😳
booboo · M
@bijouxbroussard you're missing the point....obviously a gun is no match for a nuclear bomb..BUT, it will come in quite handy AFTERWARDS, when your survival is paramount...thank about it...there's no 'bomb' that can automatically take out bullies and bad guys and leave the good guys intact...
@booboo So you believe we’d survive a nuclear war, now that we’re not the only ones who have such weapons ?
booboo · M
@bijouxbroussard yeah, there will be survivors...
@booboo Wonder what it was like shortly like after Hiroshima and Nagasaki ? Interesting that we worry so much when so far we’re the only ones guilty of having deliberately inflicted such devastation on others...
booboo · M
@bijouxbroussard well, read the history books by those who lived it and they will tell you the truth about how difficult that decision was and why it made a difference...the sacrifice of thousands to save millions...war is hell...(the understatement of the century)
@booboo That’s not the position of those who survived it, any more than it’s the opinion of those Nisei who received draft notices while living in detention camps. It’s justification by those who who dropped the nuclear bombs.

@bijouxbroussard Had there not been a Pearl Harbor, there would have been no Hiroshima.
Are you aware of the fact that German-Americans and Italian-Americans were also put into camps?
@ProfessorPlum77 Yes. Are you aware the numbers were considerably fewer ?
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
Of course. We also firebombed Dresden, Germany, a city with no military value. Does THAT bother you?
@ProfessorPlum77 Did we use nuclear weapons on them or on anyone else in Europe ? 🤔
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
No, we only had two. We used them on the country that attacked us without prior warning.
