What do you think about the riots/protests in the US?

Do laws matter? What is new about immigration that now makes it ok to do so illegally?

I've sponsored several people into the US legally. They don't have much empathy for those who never tried to get legal status or to even learn English.

Arresting people at a courthouse or at a school is wrong.

@Crazywaterspring it is amazing how many immigrants develop the "life boat syndrome." No one one my boat, it might capsize!

@Crazywaterspring ive had to go back to the uk because we couldn't find a co sponsor for immigration...my wife is at our home in the USA and im trying go find somewhere in the uk to live while the process continues
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 Not always. One of the people I petitioned has their citizenship and is bringing over a few relatives.

@Crazywaterspring Yesterday they caught some guys preparing molto cocktails, they were illegals.

@Steve42 if anyone is caught in a violent outbreak, they are appropriately dealt with, using legal US procedures, with constitutional protections.
Steve42 · 56-60, M
@samueltyler2 Where does it say anywhere that foreign nationals are mentioned in the Constitution?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Steve42 what are you now trying to speak about? If you are trying to push the nonsense that a non-US citizen is not protected by the US constitution, I suggest that you either have forgotten that subject from your schooling, or played hookie that day!
@Steve42 They are, not in the context you mention, but part of having a society of laws is that they apply to everyone in terms of basic rights.

And @samueltyler2 is correct--this is a LONG legal precedent.

Would you like to be treated like garbage by the laws of every other country when you visit there? lol
@samueltyler2

Lets be clear .. Non-citizens are NOT afforded all the same rights as a citizen.

@BrandNewMan No one ever said the indocumented are entitled to all of the rights of citizens. But all on US land are entitled to certain rights are inalienable. For example, you cannot just gun one down and not be charged with murder. We could set up a table showing which rights are granted and which aren't, but you would probably take offense at even that. Other developed countries are starting to warn their citizens about the dangers of travelling to the US.
@samueltyler2 Just making it clear there is a difference between protected and same rights as a citizen. Some on the left truly do not know this it seems w some of the b.s. statements made in the news recently.

Kinda like the dumbass LA council woman who did not know its illegal for LA Sheriff /Police depts to warn people of imminent ICE actions.
@samueltyler2 Clearly you didnt even look at what I posted.

Its a summary of what is different for citizens /noncitizens .. expressly to counter how you play so fast and loose with accuracy of facts so damn often
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@BrandNewMan I am not playing loosely with the facts. I claim no "alternate facts," unlike some others.
