Looking at prices today using one of the fuel price watch apps - I use the one called PetrolSpy - it says diesel where I normally buy fuel at near my work (Mayfield NSW) is currently priced at A$2.499 per litre which is a full 50 cent per litre higher than it was 2 weeks ago.

Unleaded 98 at the same outlet is currently A$2.339 per litre, which is only a 40 c per litre hike since 2 weeks ago.

At the three servo's in the area I directly live 30 km from work (Shell, Ampol and BP), diesel is about $2.60 per litlre and U98 is averaging about $2.40 per litre.

Normally, the servo I use near my work is 30 cents per litre give or take a bit cheaper than the prices at the three local outlets.

Luckily my 4wd has a 140 L fuel capacity and was filled 2 weeks ago, so it's good for at least a month. I have a full tank in my car (runs on U98) plus already had two full 20 litre jerry's of spare petrol.

I fully expect to see prices with a '3' as the leading digit in coming weeks.

I will not freak out until fuel prices are $10 per litre or higher. Until then, situation normal (all phucked up) continues.
