Good news.

How many more rate hikes until the Fed hits the 2% target?
@SumKindaMunster ironically the strong jobs numbers may ensure another rate hike even though inflation appears to be under control
@SumKindaMunster I love the rate hikes by the feds, means the interest on my savings accounts get larger.
Keep those rate hikes coming!

@independentone Agree. I have a shitload of money in cash.
@eli1601 I keep around 18 months of living expenses in a savings account, the rest is in stocks that I've been buying for a couple decades. I do enjoy the dividends.

@independentone I keep my cash in a Vanguard money market account which has been paying a good dividend for a while. The bulk of my remaining funds are in mutual funds split between stocks and bonds and I get dividends on the bonds every quarter. So far, so good. We also have a lot of home equity which I'm hoping to leave for the kids, but could use for a medical emergency if Medicare really does run out of money.
