Gas Prices...

https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/bp-smashes-forecasts-with-82-billion-profit-2022-11-01/

This time last year oil was at $89 it did spike in spring after the war started to $116 in May. That's not quite double. That is not even up 50%.

Oil is around $88 right now.

Oil companies are reporting doubling of profits.

And people think politicians are to blame for their pain at the pumps. 🤔

But yes, let's keep up the red team vs. blue team infighting while these corporations continue to bilk people for all they can.

@sunsporter1649 Democrats and their elite environmental fanatic policies have caused a doubling of gasoline prices but rather than take actual responsibility, they'd rather point fingers at the "greedy oil companies!"
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 and this is relevant to the original post how?

Let's stay on topic here. At least @graphite tried to point at something increasing costs that would be passed on to consumers. Though the direction he is pointing blame is completely fallacious, he's at least on topic.

@ViciDraco You telling me the oil companies did not pay any taxes on the product they created and sold?
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 I'm telling you it's irrelevant to the topic of the post.
