So as everything goes up

Does that mean a few years from now people will have to pay £100 to get the bus? I mean when does it end? 🤔

When I worked at a gas station in High School - (late 70s) a gallon of gas was 57 cents - now it's $5.70 so a good solid 10X increase...

I think minimum wage was about $2.10 and hour, now it's about $15 - so that was not a solid 10X

Gas is higher now than it's ever been. @fun4us2b
You could have explained it in your words. @fun4us2b

Apparently voting republican keeps you poor?
Yeah, there's no point in raising minimum wage.

@Spoiledbrat exactly

My dad used to complain it cost 4 pence to get bus to town. Now, over a similar distance the going rate is about £5.00. So, over time, any about is possible. But wages are meant to keep pace with inflation for precisely this reason. That’s not kicked in yet.

For what distance though?

I'll just have to remember to travel within my bus-pass hours. Assuming it still exists.

As you ask though, where will it end? Not in any good place, that's for sure.
