If you had family history of an untreatable disease that you had 50% probability of inheriting but it typically sets on later at like 40 years old

would you get tested? Why or why not?

I would not get tested until I started to show symptoms of a disease.
After all, there is a 50 percent chance I will NOT inherit the disease.

@ProfessorPlum77 if you show symptoms that would mean you do have it, plus if the test requires DNA analyzation it pretty much is not needed at that point
