Viking settlements in the UK

[image/video - please log in to see this content]

I have recently started to look more closely into the Vikings. Does anyone have viking ancestry or live in a place with a viking connection?

I would be very interested in hearing your stories and swapping notes.

I'm of Irish descent from East Irish coast. So probably some viking there. Dublin was originally founded as a viking trading settlement at the mouth of the Liffey river.

I live in Kent where much less so. Recently found out actually it was mostly Jutes from Denmark area that came here post Romans. Kent still followed more Jutish law than Angles or Norman law up into time medieval period so I have been told.
