There were a great many British staying in Vienna at the time. There was a hill nearby where the battle could be seen, and it is said that civilians gathered on the hill for a while to watch, until the action got too close.
MOST civilians at that time were attempting to flee the city. Horses were in short supply having been commandeered by the army...not enough to draw the carriages of the wealthy.

Yes, I think so. There were also some civilians from Washington who went to watch the first battle of Bull Run in the American Civil War.
