A terrible thing to have to commemorate. But one that must never be forgotten..😷

In case you are wondering, all the deleted messages are people trying to apply a left or right political stance to this, schadenfreude, or something else insensitive to the subject.

Unfortunately these responses were more numerous than any other response and that speaks volumes about the people that use this website.

@WintaTheAngle I looked at a couple of them. It is amazing and disturbing to me how many people use this horrible, tragic event in history as a talking point for their party.
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
@LordShadowfire Agreed. We all have our differences, some are deep rooted. But the one common ground we should have is for horror, sadness and anger that this ever happened.
And then we can all go back to poking fun at each other another time in another post.

My dad was there.

My dad was there.

In what role?
Dino11 · M
@Diotrephes US Army Ranger
Richard65 · M
@Dino11 was he a prisoner there? The Americans weren't at the liberation of Auschwitz.
A visit there I shall never forget. 😔

It’s rather sad someone has tried so very hard to push their own agenda into this post.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@WintaTheAngle It's disrespectful as hell is what it is.

If I could light a million candles, it wouldn't be enough.

What gets me is all the liberals who now claim that never happened. That's why the allies filmed it all. God bless those survivors. 🙏🙏🙏
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
@WintaTheAngle I firmly believe it happened. I use to live in the Washington DC suburbs. I have been to the Holocaust Museum and I use to be a supporter. I have talked with survivors of the camps too. It was truly a terrible thing. 💔😢😢😢

@Musicman That’s correct. So we don’t need to go into the Punch and Judy routine of US politics when we think about those people and what happened to them.
Richard65 · M
The Russians, specifically.
WintaTheAngle · 41-45, M
@Richard65 Yes.

@Roundandroundwego You’ve been warned before. Evidently you are a slow learner.

@WintaTheAngle Thanks for removing it. We really do have some brain donors around here who somehow managed to survive. 😒
