Battle at the Rehab.

During the Battle at the Rehab, on February 15, 2014 (a Monday, a day after Valentine's Day), Maria (Maaarya) willingly surrendered herself to Satan and allowed herself to be hit with his Killing Curse so that the piece of Satan's soul residing inside her would be destroyed and the Dark wizard could be defeated once and for all. However, due to Satan taking Maria's blood (along with Allah's lingering protection) into himself the previous day, he had unwittingly tethered Maria's life to his own, allowing Maria to survive being hit by the killing curse a second time. Even though she survived, Maria still made the choice to sacrifice herself out of love for her friends.

This conferred a certain amount of protection on Maria's allies, making it so that spells Satan tried to place on them, including Silencing Charms and a Full Body-Bind Curse, quickly wore off.
