Today I learned of dhaka muslin, a fabric *handwoven* so fine it had a threadcount of up to 1200

Modern day attempts at recreating this lost fabric art only go up to 400tc. Thanks to the Brits who destroyed the weaver industry of India during the colonial period.

I'm sure King Charles III and Queen Camilla roll around in the handwoven stuff. For us Yanks, it's only a question of when it becomes available at Costco.
Those Brits have a lot to answer for 🤨
