I wonder why royalists ignore this part of history

Actually, those events were featured in "The Crown" just recently.

Ed8 only ruled Jan-Dec 1936. Ed & Wallis visited the Nazis Oct. 1937.

P.S. I'm not a royalist or an anti-royalist. Denmark & Holland seem to have unproblematic royal families.
