Of course they are. The rich and powerful invented them to A) keep those who would call them out on their unsavory deed occupied with b.s., B) make those who call them out on their unsavory deed look like crazies / crackpots, C) to divide the non-rich / non-powerful majority of the population thereby making them easier to control

In a very real way they are. First, to build distrust in the regular channels of media and the Authorities, because "Everything is a cover up" Second, to bury a few actual plots that get revealed in part among the hundreds of fakes and red herrings. Soon the people dont trust anything, unless its the official word, in which case they know its wrong. Sound familiar??😷

@Diotrephes The truth is that asking someone who just posed a theory on how conspiracy theories may be a conspiracy may not be the best way to learn a general truth, but rather the truth of their own slated view 🤷♂️
