@LordShadowfire Red flag laws in theory, wil stop some of the carnage, but the potential to be abused is great. I agree with common sense gun laws. Those are already in place. 🤗🤗🙏🙏

@LordShadowfire Red flag laws are in place in much of the country. As well as mandatory background checks with the FBI/NICS/BTAF.
Which I support.

@Montanaman First of all, it's semi-automatic. Secondly, I'm not necessarily in favor of banning those, either, but what the hell do you need with a 30+round magazine to go hunt deer? What do you need with a 30-round magazine for home defense? You must be a hell of a bad shot.

As regards red flag laws and background checks, they aren't nearly comprehensive enough, as we've seen. You get these kids spouting off on social media about how they're going to go shoot up their school, the mall, a grocery store, or even a presidential candidate, and then they walk into a store, buy a gun, and go do it. How?

I'll tell you how. Because the laws are inconsistent from state to state. Even between Oregon and Washington. Here in Oregon, we can have semi-automatic weapons. Up in Washington, they can't. But it doesn't matter, because all somebody has to do is drive from Vancouver to Portland and buy a gun.
