How do you keep your ego in check?

I take a look in the mirror, my bank and my living situation.

That does it every time.

I go on a yearly pilgrimage to have my ego destroyed by the Masters Of Deconstruction 😆[image]

I look at people foaming in their mouths because their egos are out of control.
Then I tell myself I don't want to be that.

Come to you to keep me in line. 🤭

By not stepping on someone's shoes.

I don't. I'm not making it as a complete fake, anyways.
I also have anger.

It keeps me in check instead

i suffer from depression and it influences my decisions and actions. when i feel angry or overwhelming sadness i remind myself: the universe is 14 billion years old, and will suffer a massive heat death in 22 billion years → nothing i say or do will change this. no one knew me before i was born. no one will remember me after i'm gone. knowing this makes me calm and peaceful and helps me to stay grounded and just be a kind and fair person.
