How do you keep your ego in check?

I look at people foaming in their mouths because their egos are out of control.
Then I tell myself I don't want to be that.

@SW-User I feel that. Kinda weird trying to, I dunno, contribute positively and seeing how many people work against it.

@Rokasu Okay that was a semi serious answer. It does remind me that I do not want to go to that level.
But on a serious note, I think self awareness is what keeps my ego in check. For me, it is spirituality.
